Recipe: from Westminster Village’s Kitchen

At the end of May, many residents and employees shared a meal in the Community Room, and this dessert was prepared by one of our cooks. The Sopapilla Cheesecake was excellent and the recipe became highly sought after!

We’re not ones to hold back a good thing, so here is the reciepe:

Sopapilla Cheesecake


2 tubes of crescent dough sheets

2 (8 oz) pkgs of cream cheese

2 cups of sugar

2 teaspoons of vanilla

1 stick of butter, melted


Cooking Instructions

Spread 1 tube of crescent sheets in the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan. Mix cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla and spread over dough. Place second tube of crescent sheets over top of cream cheese mixture. Melt butter, then add 1 cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Mix well. Pour over dough and spread to cover. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. Enjoy!
